Hearthstone Mercenaries: Task System Rework - You Can Now Spend All Day Doing Tasks

With the arrival of Patch 23.0, the Hearthstone Mercenaries Task system gets a rework where you can complete all tasks for whichever Mercenaries are visiting your campfire as completing one task will move you to the next task in the progression.

For beginners, this means they have a clear path to get some of their starter Mercs to a good level in terms of skills and equipment.

For more advanced players, they can either try and re-roll and get tasks for their favorite Mercs or just round out their line-up.

Of course, this also means you could see yourself spending an entire day working on tasks if so inclined as they take a while to complete them all and you can also try and get more by hunting for the Mysterious Stranger. Depending on your mindset, you could spend quite a bit of time on tasks.

Speaking of the Mysterious Stranger, as they were originally meant to be the mechanism to get you more Tasks when you finished up your dailies, Blizzard has now reduced their appearance rate since you'll usually have quite a few tasks on hand already.

Do keep in mind that completing all 18 Tasks will not give you enough coins to max out a Merc but will put you in a pretty good spot in terms of the overall play-ability of the Merc.

According to Blizzard, "The intent of this system update is to give players more of the Tasks they want, and more Tasks overall, while allowing players to explore more engaging gameplay patterns. We hope this new system will be an improvement for players trying to progress specific Mercenaries, or anybody who is always looking for the next Task to complete. We will monitor how this new system works, and make adjustments if needed, but we are also working on an even larger Task System rework that we are hoping to share more information about later on this year."
