Marvel Snap Winterverse Variant Exclusives

During Marvel Snap's 14-Day Winterverse promotion, which runs through January 3, 2023, they've added five new Winterverse card variants that are only available during the event (no word on whether they'll be available again next year or during some other promotion).

Guide: Marvel Snap "Hype the Hero!" Event

Marvel Snap's latest event is called "Hype the Hero!" It's similar to previous events where you need to play matches to earn points (in the form of items--in this case, to earn "Records") and hit certain milestones with certain point totals to earn rewards. This time around, it's a collective effort of all players rather than an individual effort.

Marvel Snap: Series 3 (Pool 3) Card List

Series 3 or Pool 3 is the main card pool of Marvel Snap as cards that first appear in Series 4 (Pool 4) and Series 5 (Pool 5) will eventually migrate to Series 3 (as will Season Pass cards).

There are currently 77 cards in Series 3, which is more than Series 1 and 2 combined so it'll take you quite a while to collect them. You start getting Series 3 cards starting at Collection level 486 and up.

Marvel Snap: Beginner's Guide - Farming Boosters

Boosters are points that are required to upgrade your cards/characters in Marvel Snap (which increases your Collection level) and there are several ways to get/farm Boosters in Marvel Snap:

Marvel Snap: Card Pool 2 (Series 2) List

From Collection Level 222 to 474, there are 25 cards you can randomly get in Marvel Snap that make up Card Pool 2 (AKA Series 2). By the time you hit Collection 474, you'll have them all and start geting cards from Card Pool 3 (Series 3).

In the November 29, 2022 Patch, Marvel Snap adds Collector's Tokens that you can trade for specific cards as well as a number of new cards and balance changes.

Guide: Marvel Snap Vibranium Forge Event

Marvel Snap currently has a limited-time event called "Vibranium Forge" that runs through 19:59:59 PT on Monday, November 27, 2022 and can reward you with a pixel-style Ironheart avatar if you finish it.

To complete the event you'll need to "collect Vibranium from the battlefield to forge powerful items" to help defend Wakanda. Here are the basics:

Marvel Snap: Beginner Card Pool Compendium

When you first start Marvel Snap, you initially play against bots in an extended beginner tutorial period that runs from Collection level 1 through 18. As you progress through the Collection 1 through 18, you'll unlock the following cards in the following order:

Marvel Snap: Card Pool 1 (Series 1) Compendium

Once you hit Collection Level 18 in Marvel Snap, you'll start to unlock cards in Card Pool 1 (also known as "Series 1"), which consists of 46 cards and runs through Level 214 (at which point, you'll have unlocked all the cards in Card Pool 1 and will start unlocking cards in Card Pool 2)

Except for the Recruit Pool (Level 1 to 18), the cards in each Card Pool are distributed randomly, which means you might not get the card you want until you get to the higher levels of the Pool. For the most part, you can only get cards from raising your Collection Level although there are a few cards you can get from the monthly Seasons.

Hearthstone Mercenaries Patch 23.0 Buffs and Reworks

Hearthstone Patch 23.0 sees a number of Mercenaries get some buffs or even a bit of a rework. For the most part, a good deal of Mercs are getting an HP increase as well as some extra damage and/or to an ability or two. A notable rework/buff is a lot of AoE and some random target abilities now remove stealth.

Reference: Hearthstone Mercenaries - Alliance Character List

As there's (currently) no visual representation on the cards of Hearthstone Mercenaries to indicate whether a character belongs to the Alliance faction, I put together a list of Hearthstone Mercenary Alliance Characters for reference when you're planning an Alliance team in hopes of getting Alliance buff treasures.

Generally, the following races belong to the Alliance: Humans, Dwarves, Night Elves, Gnomes, and Draenei. A notable exception is the Lich King, a Human that counts as part of the Horde. There are also neutral races (Beasts, Dragons, Elementals, Murlocs, and Pirates) that don't belong to either faction.

Hearthstone Mercenaries: Task System Rework - You Can Now Spend All Day Doing Tasks

With the arrival of Patch 23.0, the Hearthstone Mercenaries Task system gets a rework where you can complete all tasks for whichever Mercenaries are visiting your campfire as completing one task will move you to the next task in the progression.

Hearthstone Mercenaries: New Mercenary Added - Murky

Patch 23.0 sees a new Mercenary, Murky, added to Hearthstone Mercenaries. It should be the last one for a few months as they're moving to releasing Mercenaries in bigger bunches similar to what they do for sets and what not. You can get Murky for free through the Voyage to the Sunken City Rewards Track, which becomes available when Voyage of the Sunken City releases on April 12, 2022.
