Marvel Avengers Alliance: "Call of the Wild" Covert Ops Patch Notes

There's a new Covert Ops up in Marvel Avengers Alliance. Complete it before July 7th to be able to recruit Shanna AKA The She-Devil.

Here are the patch notes for the "Call of the Wild" Covert Ops:

New Task: “ Call of the Wild”
A new hero is available: Shanna. Complete the task chain to unlock her.

New Hero: Shanna
Bio: Born in the jungles of Zaire, Shanna O’Hara learned at an early age to live off the land, even amidst the deadliest of environments. Her abilities only increased when she was resurrected with the life force of the Savage Land, giving her the strength and speed of a dozen men. So long as the Savage Land thrives, so will Shanna.

Class: Infiltrator

  • Self Passive: Hunter-Gatherer
    • Reduces incoming damage from poisoned attackers by 20%
    • Performs a follow-up attack on single-target attacks against poisoned targets
  • Self Passive: Spirit of the Savage Land
    • Attacks that would reduce health to 0 have a chance to reduce health to 1% instead

Action 1 : Spear Vault

  • Unlocked at level 1
  • Targets One Enemy
  • Unarmed Melee
  • One Enemy
    • Winded
      • Removes and prevents Follow-Up attacks
    • Hobbled
      • Attacks cannot be Stealthy
    • Cornered
      • Removes and prevents Protect effects

Action 2 : Savage Toxins

  • Unlocked at level 2
    Multi-Function:
    Scorpion’s Sting
  • Targets One Enemy
  • Melee, Slashing
  • One Enemy
    • Poisoned
      • Taking damage every turn
      • Attack reduced
    • Neutralized
      • Removes and prevents stat increasing effects
  • Self
    • Tiger’s Fury
      • Increases Attack and Defense
      • This effect increases when attacked
      • Stacks up to two times

Pinning Prick

  • Targets One Enemy
  • Melee, Slashing
  • One Enemy
    • Poisoned
      • Taking damage every turn
      • Attack reduced
    • Staggered
      • Cannot dodge most attacks
      • Ignores most Avoidance effects
  • Self
    • Nimble
      • 50% chance to avoid melee and ranged attacks

Serpent Strike

  • Targets One Enemy
  • Melee, Slashing
  • One Enemy
    • Poisoned 
      • Taking damage every turn
      • Attack effects
    • Off-balance
      • Removes and prevents Counter-Attack effects
  • Self
    • Berserker
      • Chance to join in on an ally’s attack
      • Chance to retaliate when an ally is hit by single-target attacks

Action 3 : Nature’s Bounty

  • Unlocked at level 6
  • Buff, Heal
  • Targets One Ally
  • One Ally
    • Remove Debuffs
      • Removes harmful status effects from the target
  • Self
    • Gaining Ground
      • Taking two actions after a full round

Action 4 : Off the Vine

  • Unlocked at level 9
  • Ranged, Gun, Tech, Energy, Explosion
  • Targets One Enemy
  • Special Properties
    • Stealthy
      • Does not trigger counter-attacks or protect abilities
  • One Enemy
    • Flanked
      • Single-target attacks against this target grant a follow-up attack
    • Disoriented
      • Single-target attacks have a chance of hitting allies
      • Removed after attacking an ally


Bug and Balance Fixes

  • Some counters have a hard limit to the number of times they can trigger in a round. This fix is to address the growing concern with counters getting out of hand and taking the control away from the player.
  • Emma Frost will now properly use the correct counter against an opponent with Mental Anguish, Mental Scarring, or immune to psychic attacks
  • The extra turn granted Amazing Spider-Man’s “The Web-Slinger” passive can now stack with the extra turn granted by Spider-Sense but can only be used once per round
  • Fixed an issue that caused Anti-Venom to not attack the intended target when paired with Agent Venom
  • Fixed an issue that was preventing Roar of the Panther from being applied by Panther Stance with the Flashing Empowered Iso equipped
  • Fixed an issue with Fang of the Panther not being applied by Vibranium Daggers with the Flashing Empowered Iso equipped
  • Fixed an AI issue with Living Pharaoh only using Absorb Energy in the Season 2, Chapter 2, Mission 1 Boss Fight
  • Raft Shank and Combo Breaker will properly show the enemy being Interrupted and not Cowering
  • Trigger Happy on Rocket Raccoon no longer triggers on secondary attacks from gear and abilities like the Rocket Pistol or Army of One
  • Deadpool no longer attacks himself in the Cable and Deadpool Heroic fight in Season 2, Chapter 1, Mission 6
  • Hit Me! no longer stacks infinitely in the Season 2, Chapter 1, Mission 5 Heroic Battle
  • Asgardian Tankard no longer gives Competence to all allies when used
  • Asgardian Tankard now applied Aegir’s Finest, granting Competence to all allied Warrior’s Three
  • Anti-Venom on the team page is now correctly titled as Original Anti-Venom
  • Fixed an AI issue with Vision not switching classes properly
  • Fixed an issue with Cephlapodic Regeneration not working as intended in the Season 2, Chapter 1, Mission 4 Boss fight with Doctor Octopus
  • Fixed an issue with Mystique using her original moveset while shapeshifted in the Season 2, Chapter 1, Mission 3 Heroic Battle
  • Fixed an issue that caused a CVE in the Rogue and Gambit Heroic Battle in Season 2, Chapter 1, Mission 1
  • Corrected a display issue with the Thunder Strike not displaying Thunder Watch correctly
  • Fixed an issue with Ultron Prime and Mephisto not being KO’ed while Depowered
  • Fandral now likes to swing in and drop a chandelier when called in by a Distress Call
