Marvel Avengers Alliance: PvP Season 8 Launches! Recruit Red Hulk and Juggernaut

Marvel Avengers Alliance PVP Season 8 just kicked off. Up for grabs this time is Red Hulk, a Tactician Hero that can blow up in your face and Juggernaut is available as a new PVP lockbox villian. You can get Unstoppable Lockboxes by winning PVP battles (up to 5 a day).

The season is a bit short (19 days).

Here's a look at Red Hulk and Juggernaut:

PVP Season 8 Adamantium Reward Hero - Red Hulk

Tactician
  • Passive: Heat Generation 
    • Increases damage by 10% per stack
    • Gains 10% Heat per round and whenever Red Hulk is attacked
  • Passive: He’s Heating Up
    • Gained when Heat reaches 40%
    • Red Hulk's attacks apply Burning and Pyrophoric
  • Passive: He’s On Fire!
    • Gained when Heat reaches 70%
    • Red Hulk’s attacks become Fire attacks (triggering Pyrophoric) and are guaranteed to crit against Burning targets (Combustible)
  • Passive: Meltdown 
    • Gained when Heat reaches 100% 
    • Red Hulk releases all stored Heat dealing damage to all enemies and allies 
    • Red Hulk becomes Stunned and loses all Heat
Abilities
  • Lvl 1: Searing Smash - Single-Target Unarmed 2-hit melee 
    • Heat
      • Increases Heat by 10%
    • Wide Open (3 rounds)
      • Taking additional damage from melee attacks
  • Lvl 2: Bunker Buster - Single Target 
    • Deadly Crits
      • Deals extra damage on critical hits
    • Exploits Radiation 
      • Deals extra damage against targets with Radiation Exposure 
    • Exothermic 
      • Reduces heat by up to 30% to deal increased damage 
  • Lvl 6: Bulwark - Self
    • Bulwark (expires next round)
      • Protects allies against single target and area attacks 
      • Reduces damage taken by 25%
    • Absorb Energy (expires next round)
      • Drains Health and Stamina from attackers when attacked by non-psychic attacks
  • Lvl 9: Gamma Bomb - All Enemies Ranged Explosive (3 round cooldown)
  • Catastrophic 
    • Can't be Protected against
    • Ignores most Avoidance effects
    • Guaranteed to hit
  • Radiation Exposure (3 rounds)
    • Deals damage every turn
    • Increases damage taken from energy attacks
  • Side Effects (1 turn)
    • May cause: Blind, Poisoned, Staggered, Off-balanced, Winded, Cornered, Incapacitated, Intimidated, Exhausted, Halitosis, or, in extreme cases, super powers (o.O)

Thoughts:

A possibly better and harder to kill Hulk. A hardy, attack-focused Tactician that can protect and deal massive damage. Like Hulk his accuracy is very low.


New Lockbox Villain - Juggernaut

Bruiser
  • Passive : Unstoppable 
    • Grants a Momentum every round 
    • Stamina is restored every round 
    • Immune to Stun 
  • Passive : Get Outta My Head! 
    • Immune to psychic attacks 
Abilities
  • Lvl 1: Sunday Punch - Single-Target Unarmed Melee 
  • Momentum 
    • Increases damage done 
    • Takes reduced damage from counter-attacks 
    • This effect can be applied up to 3 times 
  • Stun 
    • 10% chance to cause Stun 
    • Loses next turn 
    • Reduced chance to dodge 
  • Lvl 2: Mountain Crusher - Single Target 
    • Exploits Shields 
      • Bypasses and deals extra damage against targets that are protected by Shields 
    • Deadly Crits 
      • Deals extra damage on critical hits 
    • Shield Breaker (1 round)
      • Removes and prevents new shields 
  • Lvl 6: I’m the Juggernaut! - One Enemy Melee 
    • Catastrophic 
      • Can’t be Protected against 
      • Ignores most Avoidance effects 
      • Guaranteed to hit 
    • High Crits 
      • Increased chance of critical hits (specifically 100% chance to hit and crit)
    • Building Speed 
      • Requires 3 Momentum to Unlock
      • Consumes all Momentum to Use
  • Lvl 9: Surge of Cyttorak - All Allies (3 round cooldown)
    • Quick Action 
      • Grants an immediate free turn after using 
      • Does not trigger follow-up attacks 
    • Unstoppable Force (2 rounds)
      • Increases the damage of unarmed attacks 
    • Strengthened (3 rounds)
      • Attack increased by 25% 

Thoughts

Capable of dealing massive damage from round 1 and more so if he sticks around. Very low accuracy and 1-hit attacks means he might miss a lot except for his level 6 attack.
